Staff News Letter
3/25/13-3/29/13

I would like to thank all those who attended our Science/Art Fair last night.  The student art this year was fantastic.  Thank you for taking time with your students to do the art projects.  A special thanks to Jennifer and her committee who worked so hard to make our Science Fair so well organized and so successful.

Because you all worked so hard this week, please take three days off next week.

**Please take a minute to explore this link.  It will show you what the new core CRT questions will be like with the adaptive testing.  It will also show the types of questions students will be answering.

A special congratulations to Steph on their new addition to the Smith family.  I understand that the Steve Greenhalgh family could be next.

I am excited to announce that we now have eyes in the skies over East Elementary up and runningwith our new surveillance cameras now working.  Please do not use inappropriate gestures as you pass by them.

Thank you so much for getting your surveys turned, having your student surveys taken, and tabulating the parent surveys.  I know it takes extra time, so thank you once again.

Just a reminder for the Science Fair on Thursday.  Thank you to Jennifer and her committee for putting it together.  They always do such a wonderful job.

Thanks for all you do.  Many times everyone is so involved in working so hard, that we don’t take time to reflect on the growth our students have made.  I appreciate what each of you does.

I thought some of you might get a kick out of this video.  It is all too true for what I experience at home.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=ksO35s3Bffc

Faculty News Letter
Thank you so much for all of your time in preparing for SEPs.  Please let me know if you need someone to translate.  Also, please be sure to have your parents take the parent surveys.  Those who had to complete SEPs early, please be sure the parents receive the surveys and then send them back.  Please keep track of who has turned them in.  The District has set a goal for 90% of the parents to fill out the surveys.
If you would please put K registration in your next newsletter.  It will be held Mar. 12th from 11:00-3:00 in the gym.

Thank you everyone for your feedback on teaching assignment preference.  I must apologize to Mr. Greenhaulgh because I forgot to list Superintendent on the list of preferences.

Once again, thank you for your help in the development of our school presentation.  You all did a wonderful job.
