I wanted to thank all of your for the extra time and effort that you put in for Curriculum/Multi Cultural Night.  I was impressed with how well prepared everyone was, and the number of parents that attended.  Thank you so much.

I wanted to remind everyone of our board presentation this Tuesday.   I would love to see you there if your schedule permits.  I appreciate the video clips you put together.  Each grade level took on a different slant, which provided a wonderful amount of variety for our presentation.

I hope you are all working on scheduling for SEPs.  Please let me know if you need a translator.

I hope you all had a wonderful week and are ready for an extended weekend.  I wanted thank all of you for doing such a wonderful job with your spelling bees in your grade levels and classes.  I know some of you are still finishing up.  I think it is a wonderful way for students to have the opportunity to stretch.

As weather begins warming up, students have a tendency to leave their coats.  If you would please remind students to be sure to have their coats as they leave each day.  I think that a reminder will cut down on the number of coats left after school in the hall, as well as, the number left outside.

Just a reminder that we have Curriculum Night next week.   Thanks in advance for the time and effort in putting together your materials and the extra time.

Thank you so much for all you do.

Thought: Learn from the past, set vivid, detailed goals for the future, and live in the only moment of time over which you have any control: now.

Thanks for your work on our lock down drill this week.  I think it went very well and the police felt good about how we did.  I will have Sherri order magnets to place in the door hinges that can be removed during a lock down.  This would allow you to leave your doors locked and not have to spend valuable time finding keys and locking the doors.  The police re-emphasized the importance of wearing name badges to help them in identifying individuals who are not supposed to be in the school.

I am excited to finally have our SMART Board and projector installed in the library.  As you plan, this might give you an additional option with your classes in the library.  It makes me so excited that I want to extend the school year a few more weeks.

I hope you all had a wonderful week.  You should all have your DIBELS results by now.  I hope you have had a chance to review and make adjustments.  It is truly impressive to see the progress our students have made.  It represents a lot of hard work from our reading interventionists, great teacher instruction, and the many who help support our efforts.  It is hard to believe we are over half way through the year.  I sincerely appreciate the many wonderful things you do, so many of which are done quietly behind the scenes.

I would like to congratulate Danny on scoring well enough on his football picks this year to provide pizza for those of us that participated.

I would like to re-emphasize the e-mail Holly sent out regarding using the NBC Learn site.  I think that as you spend time exploring it, you will find it a wonderful source for you.
