I am amazed that we will be moving into our final four weeks of school.  It feels like time goes faster with each year.  Thank you for all of your hard work and hope you have enjoyed the year.  I love the quote that says, “So often we become so focused on the finish line that we fail to enjoy the journey” (Dieter F. Uchtdorf).  I hope we all take time to enjoy the journey along the way.

Just a reminder that faculty meeting was changed to this upcoming Wednesday to accommodate our yearly District spring visit.  Information on insurance… will be provided.

Just in case you were wondering, we have 20 days, 487.60 hours, and 29256.003 seconds left in the school year.

I hope you are all looking forward to a long weekend and have something rejuvenating planned after a short week this week.

By way of information, we are excited to bring KayLee Vogel on as a first grade teacher next year.  She is currently teaching in Price.  She will be a fantastic addition.  Nasrin Petersen will be joining our fourth grade.  She recently completed her student teaching assignment and we look forward to having her join our school as well.

I hope none of you had nightmares following our little dancing extravaganza Friday.  It could have been emotionally damaging to our students.  Let me know if anyone needs counseling.

After such a busy week last week, it was nice to have more of a normal week this week.  I appreciate all of the extra time and effort put in on the testing over the past couple of weeks.  It looks like the computer glitches have been fixed and that kids are working hard.

Good job 4th grade on an awesome Rock Day!  We always see a side of our fourth grade teachers on that day that we only see once a year.  I only have a few days of disturbing dreams about it, but it eventually goes away.

We will be interviewing candidates to fill our open teaching positions on Thursday.  If you know individuals you would like recommend for consideration, please let me know.  We will be advertising one additional position in first grade.  Gema will be required by her school in Spain to return after this year.  We have appreciated so much having her and her family in our school.  Even though I’m sure it was a huge sacrifice to leave Spain and come here, I hope it has been a wonderful experience for the Perez family.  I will be receiving names from Spain once again to interview along with local applicants.
