Staff News
Sept. 22-27

Thank you for doing such a wonderful job with our first lock down drill.  I appreciate you not panicking and streaking down the hall with toilet paper on your shoe.  I think one of the benefits of doing the lock down drill is that it gives each of you a chance to reevaluate what location in your classroom would work the best if we had an emergency.  If you haven’t already done so, please sign up for the staff texting program.

Thank you for your time in our training Wednesday to learn the new sub system and setting up SEPs.  I wanted to remind everyone that we are now on the automated sub system and will need to use it from now on.  Please let me know if you have any issues as you try to use it to get a sub.

LEVI DAY – You will be receiving information in your boxes on an upcoming breast cancer awareness day.  With a $5.00 donation, you will be able to wear a pink shirt and Levis to help raise funds for breast cancer patients at our local hospital.  If you prefer not to wear a pink shirt and Levis, you are still welcome to donate the $5.00.  Just be sure to wear clothes that day.

Thank you for a wonderful week.   I appreciate everyone turning in their PLC schedules and hope the PLCs will be a great benefit to each grade as everyone works together to help the grade level students, as well as, students school wide.

I wanted to remind you that we will do a lock down drill next week.  Please spend a few minutes preparing your students for the drill.

I have received feedback from the Grade Level Chairs about what technology and supply needs are needed in each grade.  Thank you for getting that information to me.  I am currently working on a badly needed technology issue of a 72” flat screen TV for the men’s bathroom, but the walls are not wide enough.  I have decided it is time for a newer and larger men’s bathroom to accommodate the TV.  I hope that everyone is OK with that.  With football season upon us we need to stay informed.

Thanks for all you do.  We are extremely fortunate to have such a wonderful staff that works so hard and is willing to help each other so much.

Have a fantastic weekend.

Staff News
Sept. 9-13

I hope you are all ready to start a new adventurous week.  You never know what will happen each day when you are in education.  That is one of the things I love about what we do.

Thanks for doing such a nice job with the evacuation drill.  Hopefully we never have to do a real evacuation, but it feels good to be prepared in the event we have to do it.  You will notice on the calendar that we will have a lock down drill next week.  If you would take a few minutes to review lock down procedures with your students.

I hope you are looking forward to a wonderful week.  Thanks for all of your hard work.
